Customer Stories

Limestone Stairs

“Mr. Maguire was very prompt in contacting me. He gave a prompt estimate with a variety of choices from repairing the old steps to replacing them with bluestone. We opted to use limestone. The stairs came out beautifully and seem much safer for my mother. He was great to work with and we would definitely call him again. The senior citizen discount was a big help for someone on a fixed income.”
–C.L., Mendon, MA

Rebuilt Garage

“The garage looks wonderful and we get all kinds of compliments from the neighbors. Also, this was a very tight fitting property with neighbors on the side and back of the garage. Peter was very nice dealing with them and showed a great deal of concern for my neighbors' property.”
–R.W., Somerville MA

New Patio

“The patio job was beautiful–perfectly smooth, and all debris was cleaned up at the end… I will always use Maguire Masonry for any masonry/patio-related work I need in the future. Peter’s responsiveness and quality of work was impeccable.”
–M.P., Cambridge, MA

Extremely Responsive

“Peter is extremely responsive and has an amazingly positive attitude even when the project became much larger than planned (Peter ended up having to solve a very old and complex problem for us). He stayed with the project and his price was more than reasonable and the job was done very quickly.”
–C.R., jamaica Plain, MA

Honest, Personable & Responsive

“I found him honest, personable and responsive. We wanted to get the exterior of the foundation taken care of. Peter was able to schedule us in quickly based on our needs. The work was to expectations and done quickly and cleanly. We’ll be using him again for any mason needs in the future.”
–J.W., Wakefield, MA

Flawless

“Peter responded within a day of my call, came out and gave me an estimate, he also had some great suggestions that saved me money. Peter and his crew arrived on time every day and cleaned up every afternoon before leaving. Their work was flawless, I have received many compliments from my neighbors on what a great job they did, and how hard they worked.”
–T.H, Everett, MA

Repointed Chimney

“We needed both the top and the bottom of the chimney repaired. Peter and his crew did a terrific job. They set up staging on our very steep roof, cleaned out broken mortar, and completely repointed the chimney. They also installed a new chimney cap (the old had blown off in a storm). I liked that Peter suggested using a red dye in the new mortar to tone down the red & white contrast. Looks great.”
–D.G., Melrose, MA

Repaired Basement Wall

“I had a brick basement wall that was deteriorating and Peter came in and repaired the wall along with some other areas of concern in the basement.  It went very well – the project was done in a few days, on time and on budget. The site was left clean and organized. And when a minor crack emerged, he was back in a day to fix it.”
–N.L., Charlestown, MA

Rebuilt Foundation

“They did an incredibly detailed job with the foundation, in some places removing all the mortar all the way into the inside of the basement around some of the stones. They replaced it with new mortar that they dyed to match the color of the stones. It looks great! I have already noticed a difference in the heat now that the weather is getting colder, the heat doesn’t run so much any more.”
–T.C., Taos, NM
